Curve & Point and Feathers Pieced and quilted by
Cindy Roth, Renton, WA, February 2007 |
 |
When working with border templates, many times I begin my design in the
corners and then work toward the middle of the border and what happens
in the middle of the border "happens". In this photo there are two
different border middles. Neither of them were "placed" or pre
determined. They just happened. Both designs overlap, and
that's all right! |
 |
This photo shows the other borders. The middle of the yellow
border overlaps in a different place as in the other photo and the peach
border doesn't meet at all. Again, what happens in the middle,
happens and it looks great. |
 |
The corners can sometimes be tricky, but if you start your design in the
corner and work towards the middle, you can control the placement of the
design in the corner. |
 |
I used three feather designs in the block and the Curve & Point template
in the sashing. This sashing was placed and stitched from
the middle of the sashing. |

This is a quilt I designed, constructed and then quilted
with my new Simple Cable template,
Triple Cable template,
Cross Hatching rulers and
Feather Guides. |
 |
The
Simple Cable Template pattern is available in 3 inch and
4 inch sizes
|
 |
The
Simple Cable
Template is a two template set
and will make beautiful corners as shown in the photo at the left.
As with all Longarm U templates, full, complete, step
by step, photo illustrated instructions are included with every
template.

This
photo shows the three versions of the
Triple Cable
template.
The band of green fabric shows the traditional "curved line" cable, the
black fabric band shows the curved line and feather cable and the red
fabric band shows the feathered cable.
As with all Longarm U templates, full, complete, step
by step, photo illustrated instructions are included with every
template.

There
are several different corner variations that can be made with the Triple
Cable template. At the left is one version using the Curved Line
and Feather combination. |

This
is the center of the quilt. The Feathered Wreath is made using the
Feather Guides
and the Cross Hatching is made using the
Diagonal Rulers.
