The quilt top is from the book String Piecing by Evelyn Sloppy. I used Perma Core thread, T30 . Batting Hobbs 80% 20%. This quilt is very busy, but  my customer wanted customer quilting. I decided to use the Longarm U Feather Guides down the middle of the "strips" of the quilt.  My customer loves the quilting!

Blue and White Nine Patch

This quilt was made for a family friend in New Zeeland.  It was delivered to them when Kenni visited in Christmas 2005.
The Feather Guides were used in the large feathered wreath in the "plain" blocks and in the Feathered Baptist Fan border.

Hearts of Roses
Pieced and Quilted by by: C J Spensley
Finished Size:  76 x 100 inches
This quilt is hand appliquéd, partially hand quilted, partially quilted on the sewing machine, and longarm quilted on a Gammill Classic Plus.
I used the feather guides for the quilting on the outer edge, then used the outer edge of the feathers to determine where the scalloped border should be. I liked using the feather guides as it made the spacing of my quilting very even and consistent, giving a more formal look than some other more casual methods I've tried.
