This is the quilt I am working on at the moment.  The quilt is pieced by Pat Strickland, Renton, WA, quilted by Cindy Roth. It is a beautiful quilt, 101 x 102 inches, made with wonderful Asian fabrics. (I will post a full view of the quilt when I am finished with it.)  I am using the 3 inch Circle & Waves template for the Clam Shell variation in the background. This quilting design is making a wonderful textured background.  I am using  Madeira High Sheen Poly thread, Peachy Beige in the background. Notice in the bottom of the first two photos the unquilted area. The next two photos show one of the blocks of the quilt.  There are many blocks pieced with many different beautiful Asian fabrics.  Each block has four sections and I am planning on quilting something different in each of the blocks.  The green block shown was quilted with the 1½ Circle & Waves template. Quilting this quit has been a lot of work, but it is turning out beautifully.  The photos don't do it justice.  I'll post more photos as I continue to work on it.

I had pieced this quilt many years ago and just couldn't find the "right" quilting pattern for it.  When I began working with the Sashiko templates I felt that this quilt would be a good candidate for Sashiko.  I quilted it with Gold #1725 Madeira High Sheen Poly  thread for a more festive look.

The first row of photos shows how I marked the grid on the quilt top with Miracle Chalk before quilting.  I used the 3 inch Sashiko Stars template, the 1½ inch and the 3 inch Circle and Waves templates on this quilt.
The lower row of photos is of the completed quilt.

This quilt was made for a 17 year old boy. It has the Wave side of the template in the center of the quilt and the border is done with the Circle side of the template. I do really love those rulers and have all sorts of plans for them.
