Sashiko  -  Templates - Circles - Stars
 

Sashiko is a style of quilting that originated in Japan.  Its beauty comes from the repetition of geometric designs.  By the addition of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines, the patterns become enriched and more exquisite. These patterns have been out of the reach of longarm quilters - until now! I have designed templates to take the mystery out of the quilting of traditional Sashiko designs. 

At the present time, I have two different styles of Sashiko Templates - Circles & Waves and Sashiko Star.  Both of these template work in the same basic way, but make totally different designs.

Sashiko Quilting is a very precise quilting technique and requires extra time to create.  As a professional longarm quilter, my Sashiko quilting is priced at my highest pricing. 

About the Templates
The Circles & Waves template and the Sashiko Stars template are made from 1/4 inch thick neon acrylic.  To ensure accuracy, each template is laser cut and laser etched

These templates may look a little funny, but they are designed to compensate for the width of your hopping foot. When you stitch around the template shape, your design will be precise. Due to the precision cutting of these templates and slight difference in the size of the hopping foot, you must indicate the brand of your quilting machine. 

Each template includes a complete, multi page, step-by-step, photo illustrated, spiral bound instruction manual.

Sashiko Stars
