Sashiko Circles Templates

Sashiko is a style of quilting that originated in Japan.  Its beauty comes from the repetition of geometric designs.  By the addition of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines, the patterns become enriched and more exquisite. These patterns have been out of the reach of longarm quilters - until now! I have designed templates to take the mystery out of the quilting of traditional Sashiko designs. 

At this time, I have two different styles of Sashiko circle  templates - Circles & Waves and Sashiko Circles.  Both of these template work in the same way to make wonderful quilting designs.

Sashiko Quilting is a very precise quilting technique and requires extra time to create.  As a professional longarm quilter, my Sashiko quilting is priced at my highest pricing. 

About the Templates
The Circles & Waves template and the Sashiko Circles template are made from 1/4 inch thick neon acrylic.  To ensure accuracy, each template is laser cut and laser etched

These templates may look a little funny, but they are designed to compensate for the width of your hopping foot. When you stitch around the template shape, your design will be precise. Due to the precision cutting of these templates and slight difference in the size of the hopping foot, you must indicate the brand of your quilting machine. 

Each template includes a complete, multi page, step-by-step, photo illustrated, spiral bound instruction manual.

Sashiko Circles Templates

The more I worked with the circular Sashiko designs, especially the designs that needed two different diameter circles, I realized that I could combine two templates into ONE!! That is how the Sashiko Circles template was created! To accomplish this I did have to remove the "Waves" from the template. (If you still want to make the Waves pattern, you need the Circles & Waves template, see above.)

Now you have ONE template that makes TWO different sized circles AND it is priced the same as one of the larger Circle & Waves templates. You are truly getting TWO for the price of one! This is a Win-Win situation!!! The Sashiko Circles works EXACTLY the same as the Circles & Waves templates.
