Special Report to the Washington State Legislature about Professional Machine Quilting in Washington State |
|||
|
On October 13, 2010, I had the pleasure to give a presentation on Professional Machine Quilting in Washington State to the Lt. Governor’s Legislative Committee on Economic Development and International Relations. This meeting was video recorded and to view it Click Here
In preparing for this presentation, I looked at several statistical sources about quilting in general, created my own survey of Professional Quilters in Washington State and made many assumptions based on my knowledge of machine quilters and machine quilting.
My main source of information about the quilting industry in general was the Quilting in America 2010 Survey.

I took the information from the Quilting in
America 2010 Survey and along with what I know about
professional machine quilters, I put together the following
presentation.

To view the results of my survey in a pdf file Click Here The final part of my survey was to make comments that would be passed along to state legislators.
